Theology Thursday: Garden of White Supremacy The Forbidden Fruit by Minister Cherice Fleming

As I anxiously await the end of the old world and the beginning of the new, I am fascinated at how most religious and spiritual groups avoid the subject of White Supremacy. In the Garden of White Supremacy, the knowledge of that which would overthrow White Supremacy is the Forbidden Fruit. So everybody walks around in the Garden pretending not to see the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil standing smack dab in the middle of the Garden.

Submission to the lord of the Garden is submission to White Supremacy. Revelations 13:17 says, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” I have come to believe that the mark of the beast is submission to White Supremacy.

I’ve observed “spiritual” black people who were once very conscious of the suffering of their people. But as they rise into the higher ranks of success, they begin to change their message as though the terrible condition of black people no longer exists. Their lingo becomes ‘UNIVERSAL’ in its application before it can even heal their own LITTLE WORLD. I mean let’s look at the basics. Anybody with common sense would first clean around their own front door before they try to clean around somebody else’s. Yet on a deeper level, I know that as black people rise to the top, where the spiritual wickedness of this world resides, they must accept the mark of the beast in order to buy and sell. And that is exactly what they do! So everybody walks around in the Garden pretending not to see the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil standing smack dab in the middle of the Garden.

We recently did work for a popular black client who demonstrated this proposition well. This client was willing to accept whatever those who represent White Supremacy did to her, even when they did her evil intentionally. We gave her our very best work, yet when we did something to offend her unintentionally, she was quick to cut us off.

So black leaders walk around in the Garden accepting all kinds of evil from their lord saying things under their breath like, “Oh, that’s just how it is” or “Racism will always be here so we might as well accept it”. So as it stands, you just go along to get along. Yet, you will murder your brother for little or nothing. You are blind leaders of the blind!

Most black people agree that the American form of generational slavery over 400 years was the most demonic and barbaric system ever devised. Psychologists agree that any habitual act performed over time becomes an ingrained habit. Some have gone as far as to say that the DNA becomes altered to adjust to the new situation. Today, most people on the planet would agree that there is a psychotic relationship between the black and white race. But everybody walks around quietly, pretending not to see that tree of knowledge of Good and Evil standing smack dab in the middle of the Garden.

The Lord of the Garden has agreed that we can all be happy with our nakedness if we just worship him and ignore that tree in the midst of the garden. He knows that in the day that we eat of it, we shall not surely die! In fact, if we are walking around in the Garden without knowledge OF GOOD OR EVIL, are we really alive? (Now while your mind is accusing me of being that evil serpent – just recall that the Hebrew children led by Moses into the wilderness had to look up at the serpent in order to live. Those who refused died. Read about it!)

Now the God in the garden told the two humans that he had created (better yet, had assisted in manifesting into human form), that they could eat of every tree of the garden except the tree in the midst of the garden because on the day they ate of the tree in the midst of the garden, they would surely die. Now there was the other God that decided to manifest in the form of a serpent. This God told the two humans that they would not surely die but would be like the God who had created them -- knowing good from evil.

After the couple ate of the tree, the lord of the Garden said to the OTHER GODS, “Behold the man is become as one of us, knowing good from evil (confirming that what the serpent had said was true), and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat and live forever.” Therefore, the God drove them out of the Garden of Eden to till the ground from whence they were taken and placed Cherubims and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep them from the tree of life.

Why didn’t the Lord of the Garden highlight the Tree of Life in the first place? We assume that the humans had access to it but we don’t know this. What we do know is that the Lord of the Garden did not want the unknowledgeable ones to become a God like him!

Well, my dear brothers and sisters, let’s consider what was done to the innocent spirits who were placed in the Garden of Eden. The Lord over them was in the position of a parent and the two humans due to their lack of knowledge were in the position of children. Let us reason together.

Let’s consider what Jesus said about our Father. Jesus came to point us to the Constant God and even stated that if the leaders had known the father they would have known him [Jesus]. But since they had never known the True God, they did not know him. Now in our analogy today, the parents have left wholesome food (food that will make them like God) in the midst of the table but have forbidden the children to eat. Remember Jesus said that if you ask your father for bread would he give you a stone? He then said, “If you [thinking you are evil] know how to do well to your own children, how much more good would our father [who is constantly good] do well unto us -- his children.

Now many of us have been taught that Jesus came to verify that which was in the Old Testaments. But if you carefully consider Jesus’ teachings, he often said these words, “It has been said . . . but I say unto you . . .” Jesus was overthrowing what had been taught to the people by the religious leaders. Today he would say to the “spiritual” and “political” black leaders, “Woe unto you spiritual and political black leaders -- hypocrites! For you compass land and sea to gain followers, but when they follow you, you make them twofold the children of hell (White Supremacy) than you are yourselves! For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.”

I have considered most religions and studied many as well. I have found that only one was founded in order to heal black people. It is the most dangerous religion to this present world and it is also the most disliked. I love the Nation of Islam and if it were not for many of the Muslims in the Nation of Islam, I would be an active member. I say that because as with all religions, especially one that has been so infiltrated by the U.S. government, there are hypocrites. Unfortunately, in the Nation of Islam, hypocrites seem to be in the highest positions.

Nonetheless, my husband and I love the Mission of the Nation of Islam and its leader because at the lowest points of both our lives (long before we met each other); we found hope in the fact that our Savior had arrived. God had heard the cries of black people and we were not a people forgotten. The words of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan are what placed my husband and me on the path that led us to each other and for this alone; we will always love the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

We used to have ‘shut-ins’ at the church I used to attend. This was a three day fast in which the saints would sleep at the church on the concrete floors and pray constantly while drinking water only. I loved these fasts because I thought that I could invoke the Power of God in a greater way at these times. I would often use the occasion to pray for the community in which our church was located. I wanted to see a miracle. I wanted God to save everybody within a five to ten mile radius of our powerful church.

Well, one day after ending a great fast, the church was vandalized. The pastor said it was the work of the devil but this didn’t sit well with me. I kept going over in my mind the scriptures, “Greater is he that is in me, than he that is in the world and if you say unto this mountain be thou removed and doubt not, it shall be done”. I was indeed very perplexed after this event. Some time went by before I finally became weary of my ineffectiveness in the community and went and asked my pastors a series of questions. I wanted to know why with all of our ‘shut-ins’ the community was not changing.I wanted to know why there were so many different churches on every block and the condition of the people seemed to be worsening. I wanted to know why black people seemed to be worse off than any other people. I wanted to know if God would take out a little special consideration for black people since we seemed to be the worse off.

Well, sufficed to say my pastors didn’t have any answers that could satisfy me. I was not content with gaining rewards in the by and by. I wanted something to be done in the now and now. I didn’t realize it then, but I now realize that I was asking about White Supremacy, however, my pastors walked around it quietly, pretending not to see that tree of knowledge of Good and Evil standing smack dab in the middle of the Garden.

I then journeyed from membership to membership -- from the Shrine of the Black Madonna to the Nation of Islam. But as criticism arose from my friends and family members who viewed me as unstable, I stopped joining anything but kept visiting everything. I wanted to know who God was on a universal level as well as his position regarding those who are suffering. I discovered that there was a universal cord of truth that was laced through every religion of God and that God sent prophets to warn oppressors of every age and to relieve the suffering of every people. It was then that my brother introduced me to a tape series by a woman who had died and supposedly talked to God during her death. These tapes were my missing link. The tapes were by a lady named Betty Eady. She had spoken with Jesus and he had told her that all religions are valid. They all lead to God. The reasons for each one are based on the differences in humans. Each human relates to God differently and therefore gravitates to a particular religion based on their differences. These tapes were like living water to me.

I was studying tapes by Betty Eady and reviewing video tapes by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan when I met my present husband. He and I had prayed up on each other but that’s another story. My husband wanted a book called Spirit of a Man by Iyanla Vanzant, who we both greatly admired, so I used the occasion of his birthday to purchase the book for him. Various quotes from her book led him to want a book called A Course in Miracles which I purchased for his next birthday. Becoming a part of A Course in Miracles study group led to our discovery of the Unity Church.

What a great concept! Everybody understanding our spiritual essence and the power of mind and being able to unite based on that understanding. Wow! On a particular Kwanzaa holiday, I was given permission to hold a Kwanzaa event at the Unity church. I placed special emphasis on inviting our white friends because I thought that this was the greatest opportunity for them to show their unity and appreciation for us. In a church that was 95% white, only a handful of our white friends attended. I said to my husband after that, “We can never have true unity until White Supremacy is extracted from the human race!” We later went to talk with our pastors, a black couple, about the sickness of White Supremacy -- they became very solemn. Once again, my pastors walked around it quietly, pretending not to see that tree of knowledge of Good and Evil standing smack dab in the middle of the Garden.

I have concluded that we are like those children who exclaimed to the people, “The king is butt spanking naked! There is no beautiful robe! The Garden is our mind! The Lord of the Garden is not good! Together we can take him and his other Gods too. Let’s eat of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Let’s overthrow White Supremacy so that we ALL may heal! And then let’s break through the barrier that was placed in our minds to keep us from eating of the tree of life and let’s be like God.”

This, Brothers and Sisters, is our Ministry, our Mission and our Calling.

I pray that God opens your understanding to my words and encourages your spiritual leaders to expose the disease of our souls.
